Mohs Surgery

Mohs surgery is a highly specialized treatment for skin cancer removal, and has come to be accepted as the single most effective technique for removing Basal Cell Carcinomas (BCCs) and Squamous Cell Carcinomas (SCCs), which are the two most common forms of skin cancer. It is also considered to be the "Gold Standard" for other less common types of skin cancer throughout the body.

Benefits of Mohs Surgery to Treat Skin Cancer:

  • Highest cure rate (lowest chance of cancer regrowth)
  • Maximally spares the normal healthy skin
  • Minimizes removal of normal healthy skin and consequently minimizes scarring
  • Most precise method for ensuring the complete removal of skin cancer
  • Outpatient surgery using only local anesthesia - no hospital or general anesthesia
